  • Strategis - This federal government site for Industry Canada provides links to business information throughout Canada.
  • Statistics Canada - Statistics Canada is the country’s national agency, which provides statistical information including demographics.
  • Ontario Stats - Statistical data about Ontario including labour markets, business and economics, tourism, high technology and communities.

Business, Local Contacts:

  • Town of Ajax, First for Business - Click on the Business tab.
  • Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade - The voice of the business communities of Ajax and Pickering. Membership covers the full spectrum of local enterprise - small and medium-sized businesses, local branches and plants of large corporations, professional firms, and financial institutions.
  • Business Advisory Centre Durham - Provides free access to information and consulting for start-up businesses. The Centre’s extensive in-house library offers business start-ups access to key information critical to planning their business. An on-site business registration station helps to facilitate the start-up process.
  • Durham Contact Business Exchange - DCBE is a group of Durham Region business owners who meet weekly to exchange information and promote business.
  • Durham Home and Small Business Association - Provides monthly meetings for members for the exchange of information and promotion of business in Durham Region. The association also hosts events and publishes a newsletter focused on this important sector of the economy.
  • Durham Region Manufacturers Association - Fosters the growth and prosperity of manufacturers in Durham Region. This website provides information about the programs and services offered to local manufacturers and outlines DRMA events.
