| In July 2004, the Ajax Library introduced the Counting Opinions On-line Customer Satisfaction Survey. Each year we have seen an increase in the number of surveys completed. We have also seen improvements in patron satisfaction rates with library services.
Some of the highlights of the survey include:
- 45 survey responses were received in August 2009.
- Introduction of new services based on patron feedback including on order records in the catalogue (May 2009).
- 90% of respondents are satisfied with remote access to services via the Internet or phone.
- 82% of respondents were satisfied when dealing with library staff.
The results have assisted us in the following ways:
- To identify trends.
- To set customer service priorities.
- To develop strategic planning initiatives.
- To direct customer service needs.
- To review service provisions.
