How do I dispose of yard trimmings and branches?Yard trimmings are collected spring, summer and early fall (April-November). Leaves, weeds, plants and sod edgings must be at the curb in paper bags on your regular garbage collection day (sod will not be picked up). Please note that grass clippings will no longer be collected. Tied and bundled brush can be placed with the yard trimmings for collection. Brush must be tied and bundled in lengths of no more than 1 metre (about 3 feet) and weighing no more than 20 kg (45 lbs). There is no limit on the amount of yard trimmings you can put out. Sod may be disposed of at a Regional Transfer Station. |
