Volunteer Today

Volunteers are a valuable part of our Recreation & Culture team!  Our department works with hundreds of volunteers to deliver a variety of fun, family-oriented special events in the community.  

Youth (14 years and over) and adult volunteers are needed to assist in seasonal events such as Pumpkinville, Winterfest, Active Advenutres in Ajax and Canada Day.  If you are interested in volunteering in a recreational setting and social atmosphere, or if you want to develop valuable leadership skills, apply in writing to Lisa Warth, Community Recreation Co-ordinator, Town of Ajax, Recreation Services, 65 Harwood Avenue S., Ajax, Ont., L1S 2H9 or drop off a "Volunteer Application Form" to the Ajax Community Community Centre, Administration Offices (2nd floor), 75 Centennial Road, Ajax, or e-mail sheena.beckles@townofajax.com.

For students,  the hours that you volunteer are eligible toward the community involvement criteria that is part of your school curriculum. 

If you would like to contribute to your community by volunteering, a Volunteer Application Form can be picked up at the Ajax Community Centre or McLean Community Centre, or downloaded from the website.  Note: volunteers 16 years and over must submit a current criminal reference/vulnerable sector check prior to volunteering.
