KRE8IVE Kids Festival 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Town Hall/Main Branch Library (65 Harwood Ave. S)
Children can explore their "artsy" side in a variety of creative ways at this event. Activities include:
- The Director's Cut Comic Relief - digital comic book creation
10 a.m. to noon OR 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. (Ages 7 and up) pre-registration is required by emailing sheena.beckles@townofajax.com
- Messy Hands Bus – a variety of arts and crafts
- Face Painting
- Anime Workshop, ages 12 and up (pre-registration required call 905-683-4000 ext. 8813)
- Graffiti Art displays
- Ajax Rug Hooking Guild display and activities
- "Name of the Tree" – drama presentation by Little Red Theatre – show time - 12 p.m.
- Entertainment
- Food & Beverages
- Craft Corner hosted by the Ajax YMCA Ontario Early Years Centre

Art in the Park – Featuring "Jersey Nights" a Tribute to the Jersey Boys 11:00 am – 5:00 pm – Memorial Park (100 Church Street N)
Don’t miss this great day of entertainment, art and delicious food & beverages. Highlights include:
- "Jersey Nights" a Tribute to the Jersey Boys (Franki Valli & the 4 Seasons) 1:00-3:00 pm
- Artisan’s Marketplace featuring a variety of original works of art, hand made jewellery, clothing, wood working, photography and much more.
- Licensed beer/wine garden and food vendors
- Entertainment including performances by local youth

Ajax Rug Hooking Guild Open House Drop-in anytime between 7 to 9 p.m. – St. Andrew’s Community Centre (46 Exeter Road)
Visit with and watch members of the Ajax Rug Hooking Guild practice their beautiful and colourful craft. Learn about the skill that goes into creating a fabulous fabric work of art.

Tamil Fashion Flare! & Movies without Borders Tamil Fashion Flare begins at 6 p.m.– Movie follows–Main Branch Library– Harwood Ave. S
Tamil Fashion Flair! Enjoy beautiful, traditional Tamil dress with all the colours of the rainbow! Presented by the Tamil Academic and Cultural Society of Durham.
Movies without Borders follows the fashion show and screens foreign movies with English subtitles. The featured movie will be “Abhi and Me (Abhiyum Naanum)”, a Tamil language film, shown with English subtitles, that chronicles the journey of a father who shows boundless love for his daughter. Enjoy this foreign cinema. Presented by Ajax Library Services & Community Development Council of Durham.

Ajax Creative Arts Open House – members of the Ajax Creative Arts will be on hand to display their original works of visual art. Drop in anytime between 12 – 4 p.m. Village Community Centre (22 Sherwood Rd.W).
Classical Music Concert featuring "Heartstrings" – Heartstrings is an accomplished string quartet consisting of two violinists, a violist and a cellist from the Durham Youth Orchestra. This ensemble has an extensive repertoire of classical music, including pieces by Bach, Handel, Pachelbel, Mozart, Schubert & Strauss.
