The Ajax Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan Study is completed and available for review.

 

 

 

 

What is the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan Study?

This study is being undertaken by the Town to develop a comprehensive strategy of policies and guidelines for active transportation, that is walking, cycling and rolling. The study builds upon:

  • Vision 2020 Bicycle and Leisure Trail Plan
  • Transportation Master Plan Update
  • Bicycle Priority Plan
  • Regional Cycling Plan
  • The Big Move: Transforming Transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area
It will integrate with the Town’s existing pedestrian and trail network, and address how to encourage more people to walk and bicycle.

Two public meetings were held. The first on May 26, followed by a second on October 26.
