Fostering positive relationships between neighbours

How well do you know your neighbours? Have you always wanted to get together with your neighbours but are not sure where to start?  Busy lifestyles consumed with family responsibilities and commuting can prevent important community conversations from taking place.

To engage residents in community conversations, the Town is committed to working with neighbourhood residents to support and provide guidance in developing inclusive community activities that will help neighbours connect. The Town has developed a new resource highlighting frequently asked questions on how to encourage individuals and families to make and build stronger relationships with their neighbourhood, along with tips and contact information on Town community resources. Identified as a key strategy of the Community Safety Strategy, this initiative aims to build a strong sense of community and foster positive relationships between residents throughout differenct neighbourhoods in Ajax.
