Joanne Dies
| Joanne lives in south Ajax with her husband and two children. She is a certified Dental Assistant and has worked in the field of dentistry for 22 years. Joanne has been an active community volunteer for more than 14 years. As one of the founding members and past president of the Pickering Community Concert Band, Joanne became active in promoting the cultural arts in the community. She is a past member of the PineRidge Arts Council, and helped organize the first Juried Art Show for Durham artists and Artfest on the Esplanade. Joanne is very committed to public education. She is the Durham liaison for People for Education, SCC chair at Duffin's Bay Public School, a member of the Durham District School Board SCC Steering committee and Special Education Review Committee. Joanne is past chair and member of the Ajax Cultural Arts Advisory Committee, and President of the Board for Community Development Council Durham. |
