Colleen was elected Regional Councillor for Ajax Wards 3 & 4 in 2003. She also sits on local Council. From 1997 and 2000, Jordan served as local Ward 3 Councillor in Ajax. Colleen was a trustee with Durham's public school board between 1991 and 1997.
Until her election, she was the successful Executive Director of the Community Development Council of Durham (formerly Social Development Council of Ajax-Pickering), an important non-profit social service agency which lends support to immigrant settlement, child nutrition, affordable housing and other agencies throughout Durham Region.
Colleen holds a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology major) from the University of Toronto. Her private business experience includes a stint as a Research Officer and Foreign Exchange Trader with the International Banking Centre of the Royal Bank in Montreal and Toronto.
Jordan's four children - Bobby, Tracy, Jenny and Jackie- graduated from Ajax schools. Tracy is a full time stay at home mother and Bobby, Jenny and Jackie are continuing education at Carleton, U.of T. and Durham College respectively.
Colleen and her mother Sandra maintain residences in south Ajax. |
