Greenwood Conservation AreaGreenwood Conservation Area is maintained and operated by the Town of Ajax. It is located north on Westney Road, north of Taunton Road (see map below). The park is open to the public every day from May to September from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and October to April 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No site rental for a picnic or overnight camping is allowed without a permit. The park offers some of the best fishing with the opening of the trout season in the spring. The cold, clear-running creek is a perfect home for rainbow trout and other species of fish. Bring your family for an afternoon picnic or reserve a picnic site for your company or social club. Picnic shelters and washroom facilities are available. In the fall Greenwood turns bright with the hues of autumn. Scouting/Guiding and youth groups can take advantage of any one of the number of group campsites available throughout the year. School groups are also encouraged to take advantage of the natural environment for educational purposes. Other activities available at Greenwood include:
