Platoon Chiefs

Each platoon of Fire Suppression personnel is under the daily direction of an on-duty Platoon Chief. 

There is a Platoon Chief on-duty on a 24/7 basis.  The Platoon Chief's office is located at the Headquarters Fire Station, located at 900 Salem Road North.

Each of the four Platoon Chiefs is responsible for providing leadership to their respective Captains and Firefighters.  The Platoon Chief responds to multi-apparatus emergency responses and all serious emergency incidents.  The on-duty Platoon Chief operates Car 5, the Ajax Fire and Emergency Services Command Vehicle.  For more information on our fleet of emergency vehicles, click here.
