Deputy Fire Chief Mark Diotte

Mark Diotte serves the Town of Ajax in the capacity of Deputy Fire Chief.  Deputy Chief Diotte is responsible for leading the Fire Suppression and Training divisions of the Ajax Fire and Emergency Services. Working along side Deputy Chief Pegg, he also works closely with the Fire Chief in an administrative role and assumes the duties of the Fire Chief in his absence.

Deputy Chief Diotte has significant university level education in addition to extensive tactical and practical training and experience.  In addition to being a graduate of the Ontario Fire College, Mark has completed University level education in Public Administration, Commerce, Computer Science and Management and has been awarded both "Certified Municipal Manager" (CMM III), "AMCTO" and "Chief Fire Officer" (CFO) professional designations.  He has also completed significant training in both Emergency Planning and Emergency Management.

Prior to serving with the Town of Ajax, Deputy Chief Diotte held positions including Fire Fighter, Acting Captain, Training Officer and Deputy Fire Chief with Pickering Fire Services, before relocating to Ajax Fire and Emergency Services in July 2006.
