Fire Chief

Serving in the capacity of Fire Chief is R. J. (Randy) Wilson. Chief Wilson is responsible for the overall leadership,  management and administration of Ajax Fire and Emergency Services.  He acts as the Community Emergency Management Co-ordinator for the Town of Ajax and is the Fire Co-ordinator for the Region of Durham.

In addition to university level education and extensive tactical and practical training and experience, Chief Wilson is a Level 3 Certified Municipal Manager. He is also the recipient of both the Fire Services Long Service Medal and the Fire Services Exemplary Service Medal.

Chief Wilson has served the Town Of Ajax since 1976, having held positions including Fire Fighter, Training Officer, Fire Prevention Officer, Captain and District Chief, prior to being appointed to Fire Chief in 1996.
