Municipal Performance Measures Program (MPMP)

 

The Ontario Government Municipal Performance Measurement Program requires municipalities to collect data to quantify the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of a range of services.
 
For the Town of Ajax, the data fall into several categories, including: recreation, library, parks, roads, storm water management, fire services, local government (governance and corporate management), and land use planning.
 
Care must be taken when comparing municipalities. It is important to understand exactly what data goes into the calculations, and to realize that service delivery may vary among municipalities.
